This course introduces employees to Quality Improvement at SOS Children's Villages Illinois.  

Learning objectives for this course are:

  • Increase knowledge about the origins of CQI and its importance in social services
    Participants will:
    • Be able to distinguish between quality assurance and quality improvement
    • Learn a definition for continuous quality improvement and the basic demands of the CQI process
  • Increase knowledge about the foundational elements required to drive an effective CQI process
    Participants will:
    • Be able to identify the key features of a CQI system that support an effective CQI process
  • Understand how to develop a workable quality improvement & evaluation plan
    Participants will:
    • Be able to utilize key Quality Improvement tools, including the Improvement Plan template
    • Be able to describe the Plan, Do, Study, Act CQI cycle
    • Be able to describe the difference between key CQI terms.
During this training, participants will receive and review the organization's PQI Plan and QI Project template.
